Overcurrent protection setup in MCEWizard
Normally it is recommended to set a value higher than motor maximum peak current (maximum RMS current *
1.414) in “Device Overcurrent trigger level setting for Comparator”, with a reserve of at least 30% margin,
especially for ultra-low impedance motors, of which peak saw tooth current would trigger unwanted
overcurrent fault.
6.2
NTC thermistor characteristics and overheat protection calculation
IMC101T’s firmware has overheat protection, Pin7 is the dedicated input of NTC temperature sensing. An
external NTC thermistor is attached on the copper near Q7 & RS1, where is the hottest point on the board.
To activate over-temperature protection, 2 setups in MCEWizard as shown in Figure 26 & Figure 28 are needed:

Enable over-temperature shutdown function

Set voltage for shutdown, consider the temperature difference between MOS and NTC
