Hardware description of REF-Vacuum-C101-2ED
The REF-Vacuum-C101-2ED board is an optimized design for 6S ~ 7S Li battery power vacuum applications,
which can be used for different voltages (outside the range of 18 V~30 V) or different power classes (well below
600 W), by replacing different MOS, current-sensing resistors and by modifying auxiliary power supply. To meet
individual customer requirements and to make the REF-Vacuum-C101-2ED reference design a basis for
development or modification, all necessary technical data like schematics, layout and components are
included in this chapter.
6.1
Inverter section
The inverter section is implemented using 2ED2304S06F plus BSC030N04NS as sketched in Figure 15.
2ED2304S06F driver ability is source c0.36 A and sink current -0.7 A; R7 & R11 is the gate resistor to
control the U-phase MOSFET’s ON time, and R9 & R13 together with R7 & R11 to set the OFF time.

The recommended dead time is 200~400 ns for MCEWizard setup, which represents a real ON/OFF time of
150~200 ns, as shown in Figure 16 and Figure 17.
Note: The gate resistors and dead time setup need adjusting if new MOSFETs are used, since different MOS have
different Qg.
