Once the turbo pump reaches normal speed, a pumpdown delay occurs
before data can be collected. The default pumpdown delay is 300 seconds
(five minutes).

Bake out the Transpector SPS.

Click
Start Timed Bakeout.

Select a bakeout time. A normal bakeout is eight hours.

Configure
to change Transpector SPS Hardware Configuration settings
if desired.

Click
Emission
. The sensor filament is off the first time
Configuration Monitor
is run. The
Emission
button will be dark blue. It will progress to yellow and
finally green to signify that the EM is on. (See

Multiplier
to turn on the electron multiplier. The
Multiplier
button will be
colored dark blue. It will progress to yellow and finally green to signify that the

Edit
to alter the sensor’s data acquisition parameters (see
). For more information on data acquisition parameters, refer to
the
FabGuard Explorer Operating Manual

Maintain a detailed log of the changes to the sensor’s data acquisition
parameters.
