2.9.2

User Defined LUT - Examples

The user can define any 12-bit to 12-bit transformation as a user LUT and
can upload it to the camera using the configuration utility software. If the
camera resolution is set to 8 or 10 bit, the camera will truncate the
corresponding LSB’s (see section 2.8). Here are some typical examples:

Example 1 – Custom LUT

The user can specify a transfer function of their choice to match the
camera’s dynamic range to the scene’s dynamic range. There are no
limitations to the profile of the function. The LUT must include all possible
input values (0 to 4095). Refer to Appendix D.
