3.8.20 Current Speed and Exposure
3.8.20.1 Get Camera Speed (
‘gcs’
)
The
‘gcs’
command returns the measured operating speed ( frame
rate ) of the camera. The current operating speed is determined by a
number of settings ( see note below ). The camera is capable of
measuring the current frame rate in all modes of operation.
Syntax:
gcs
Response:
i
The current operating speed of the
camera in frames per second.
Example:
gcs
User enters command.

Camera responds with current speed.
Notes:
The following settings affect the camera’s speed:
Single/dual tap mode
Vertical
window
Vertical
binning
Horizontal center ( IPX-VGA only )
Programmable Frame Rate
Long
Integration
After issuing a command that affects the camera’s
speed, the user must wait at least one frame time
before issuing the ‘gcs’ command.
