5.1 Grundeinstellung
Vorab alle Gain-Regler (3, 13), alle Klangregler
(6, 14) sowie den Balanceregler (7) in die Mittel-
position drehen und die Schalter PAD (12) der
Mikrofonkanäle in die obere Position stellen. Die
zwei Zuordnungsschalter für die Überblendfunktion
C.F. ASSIGN A und B (19, 21) auf „0“ stellen.
5.1.1 Stereo-Eingangskanäle 1 – 4
Zum Aussteuern eines Kanals:
1) Mit dem Eingangsumschalter (2) des Kanals die
Buchsen der gewünschten Signalquelle anwäh-
len.
2) Ein Tonsignal (z. B. Musikstück) auf den Eingang
geben.
3) Den Fader (1) des Kanals bis ca.

des Maxi-
mums aufziehen (z. B. auf Position 7).
4) Um das Signal über die Lautsprecher der ange-
schlossenen PA-Anlage abzuhören, den Master-
fader (8) aufziehen. (Das Signal lässt sich auch
über einen Kopfhörer kontrollieren – siehe dazu
Kap. 5.4).
5) Mit dem Gain-Regler (3) des Kanals anhand der
Pegelanzeige (24) den Eingang optimal aus-
steuern. Dazu die PFL-Funktion nutzen: Die PFL-
Taste (4) des Kanals drücken (LED darüber leuch-
tet) und die Pegelanzeige durch Drücken der
Taste DISPLAY MODE (25) auf Anzeige des Pre-
Fader-Signalpegels umschalten (LED PFL über
der Taste leuchtet). Die Pegelanzeige gibt dann
den Signalpegel vor dem Kanalfader an.
Den Gain-Regler so einstellen, dass bei
durchschnittlich lauten Passagen Werte im 0-dB-
Bereich angezeigt werden. Leuchten die roten
+9-dB-LEDs auf, ist der Kanal übersteuert. Falls
erforderlich, kann der Gain-Regler auch ganz auf
MIN bzw. MAX gedreht werden.
5.1.2 Mikrofonkanäle
1) Zum Einschalten des jeweiligen Mikrofons die
Taste MIC ON (16) des Kanals drücken (LED
über der Taste leuchtet).
2) Den Pegelregler LEVEL (15) des Kanals bis ca.

3) Zum Aussteuern des DJ-Mikrofonkanals den
Masterfader (8) bis ca.

des Maximums aufzie-
hen und die Taste DISPLAY MODE (25) ausras-
ten (LED MASTER über der Taste leuchtet). In
das Mikrofon sprechen und den Gain-Regler (13)
so einstellen, dass die Pegelanzeige (24) Werte
im 0-dB-Bereich anzeigt (der Regler kann ggf.
auch ganz zu- oder aufgedreht werden).
Zum Aussteuern des zweiten Mikrofonkanals
MIC 1 kann, wie bei den Stereo-Eingangska-
nälen, die PFL-Funktion genutzt werden. Siehe
dazu Kap. 5.1.1, Bedienschritte 4 und 5.
4) Tritt eine akustische Rückkopplung auf (lauter
Pfeifton) oder ist der Mikrofon-Eingangspegel
auch bei zugedrehtem Gain-Regler noch zu hoch,
den PAD-Schalter (12) des Kanals in die untere
Position schieben: Der Eingangspegel wird dann
um 15 dB abgesenkt.
5) Den Klang mit der 2fachen Klangregelung (14)
des Kanals einstellen: die Höhen (HIGH) und
Bässe (LOW) lassen sich bis max. 12 dB anhe-
ben oder absenken. Eventuell danach den
Kanalpegel mit dem Gain-Regler korrigieren.
6) Zur besseren Verständlichkeit einer Durchsage
bei laufendem Musikprogramm kann für das DJ-
Mikrofon mit der Taste AUTO TALK (17) die Talk-
over-Funktion eingeschaltet werden: Ist die Taste
gedrückt (LED darüber leuchtet), werden bei
Durchsagen über das DJ-Mikrofon die Pegel der
Stereo-Kanäle 1 – 4 automatisch um 16 dB ab-
gesenkt. Zum Abschalten der Funktion die Taste
wieder ausrasten.
5.1.3 Ausgangssignal
Das Ausgangssignal steht am Masterausgang (29)
und am Aufnahmeausgang REC (30) zur Verfügung.
Das Aufnahmesignal wird nicht vom Masterfader (8)
beeinflusst (Signalabgriffspunkt vor dem Master-
fader) und kann über Kopfhörer abgehört werden
– siehe dazu auch Kap. 5.4.
1) Die Pegelanzeige (24) durch Ausrasten der Taste
DISPLAY MODE (25) auf Anzeige des Master-
Signalpegels umschalten; es leuchtet dann die
LED MASTER über der Taste.
2) Anhand der Pegelanzeige mit dem Masterfader
(8) den Signalpegel für den Masterausgang op-
timal aussteuern. In der Regel wird eine optimale
Aussteuerung erreicht, wenn die Pegelanzeige
Werte im 0-dB-Bereich anzeigt. Ist der Aus-
gangspegel jedoch für das nachfolgende Gerät
zu hoch oder zu niedrig, muss das Mastersignal
entsprechend niedriger oder höher ausgesteuert
werden.
3) Mit der 3fachen Klangregelung (6) die Höhen
(HIGH), Mitten (MID) und Bässe (LOW) wie ge-
wünscht anheben oder absenken (max. ±15 dB).
Da sich Klangeinstellungen auf den Pegel aus-
wirken, muss danach eventuell der Masterpegel
korrigiert werden.
Hinweis: Die Klangregelung beeinflusst auch das
Aufnahmesignal am Ausgang REC.
4) Mit dem Balanceregler BAL (7) die Balance des
Signals am Masterausgang einstellen.
5) Der Masterausgang lässt sich mit dem MONO/
STEREO-Umschalter (5) auf Mono-Betrieb schal-
ten (linke Schalterposition). Das Mono-Signal
kann dann an beiden Cinch-Buchsen abgenom-
men werden. So ist z. B. der Betrieb mit zwei
Mono-Endstufen möglich. Dabei steht das Aufnah-
mesignal an den Buchsen REC weiterhin in Ste-
reo zur Verfügung.
5.2 Überblenden zwischen zwei Kanälen
Mit dem Crossfader (20) kann zwischen zwei der
Stereo-Kanäle 1 – 4 übergeblendet werden.
1) Die zwei Kanäle mit den Zuordnungsschaltern
auswählen: Mit dem Schalter C.F. ASSIGN A (19)
den Kanal wählen, der auf die linke Seite des
Crossfaders geschaltet werden soll und mit dem
Schalter C.F. ASSIGN B (21) den Kanal für die
rechte Seite.
5.1 Basic adjustments
First set all gain controls (3, 13), all tone controls (6,
14), and the balance control (7) to mid-position. Set
the switches PAD (12) of the microphone channels
to the upper position. Then set the two switches for
crossfading C.F. ASSIGN A and B (19, 21) to “0”.
5.1.1 Stereo input channels 1 to 4
Level control of a channel:
1) Use the input selector switch (2) of the channel to
select the jacks of the desired signal source.
2) Feed an audio signal (e. g. music piece) to the
input.
3) Advance the fader (1) of the channel to approx.

of its maximum (e. g. to position 7).
4) To monitor the signal via the speakers of the PA
system connected, advance the master fader (8).
[The signal can also be checked via headphones
– see chapter 5.4.]
5) Via the level indication (24), control the input to
an optimum level with the gain control (3) of the
channel. For this purpose, use the PFL function:
Press the PFL button (4) of the channel (LED
above the button lights up) and press the button
DISPLAY MODE (25) for switching the level indi-
cation to display of the prefader signal level (LED
PFL above the button lights up). The level indica-
tion will then display the signal level ahead of the
channel fader.
Adjust the gain control in such a way that
values in the 0 dB range are displayed at average
volume. If the red +9 dB LEDs light up, there is an
overload of the channel. If required, turn the gain
control fully to MIN or MAX.
5.1.2 Microphone channels
1) To switch on the corresponding microphone,
press the button MIC ON (16) of the channel
(LED above the button lights up).
2) Advance the control LEVEL (15) of the channel to
approx.

of its maximum.
3) For level control of the DJ microphone channel,
advance the master fader (8) to approx.

of its
maximum and unlock the button DISPLAY MODE
(25) [LED MASTER above the button lights up].
Speak into the microphone and adjust the gain
control (13) in such a way that the level indication
(24) displays values in the 0 dB range (if required,
the control can be fully opened or closed).
Like for the stereo input channels, the PFL
function can be used to control the second micro-
phone channel MIC 1. See chapter 5.1.1, steps 4
and 5.
4) In case of howlback (loud whistling) or if the
microphone input level is too high even with the
gain control closed, set the PAD switch (12) of the
channel to the lower position: The input level will
be attenuated by 15 dB.
5) Adjust the sound with the 2-way tone control (14)
of the channel: the high frequencies (HIGH) and
low frequencies (LOW) can be attenuated or
boosted up to 12 dB max. Readjust the channel
level with the gain control afterwards, if required.
6) To improve the audibility of an announcement
during the current music programme, the talkover
function can be switched on for the DJ micro-
phone with the button AUTO TALK (17): With the
button pressed (LED above it lights up), the
levels of the stereo channels 1 to 4 are automati-
cally attenuated by 16 dB when announcements
are made via the DJ microphone. To switch off
the function, unlock the button.
5.1.3 Output signal
The output signal is available at the master output
(29) and at the recording output REC (30). The
recording signal is not affected by the master fader
(8) [the signal is taken off ahead of the master fader]
and can be monitored via headphones – see chap-
ter 5.4.
1) Unlock the button DISPLAY MODE (25) to switch
the level indication (24) to display of the master
signal level; the LED MASTER above the button
will light up.
2) Via the level indication, control the signal level for
the master output to an optimum level with the
master fader (8). Usually, an optimum level is
obtained if the level indication displays values in
the 0 dB range. However, if the output level is too
high or too low for the following unit, the master
signal must be controlled to a correspondingly
lower or higher level.
3) With the 3-way equalizer (6), boost or attenuate
the high frequencies (HIGH), mid-frequencies
(MID), and low frequencies (LOW) as desired
(±15 dB max.). As sound adjustments affect the
level, it may be necessary to readjust the master
level afterwards.
Note: Sound adjustments also affect the record-
ing signal at the output REC.
4) Adjust the balance of the signal at the master out-
put with the balance control BAL (7).
5) The master output can be switched to mono with
the MONO/STEREO selector switch (5) [switch
set to the left position]. In this case, the mono sig-
nal can be taken off at both phono jacks. Thus,
e. g. operation with two mono power amplifiers is
possible. At the same time, the recording signal is
still available in stereo at the jacks REC.
5.2 Crossfading between two channels
The crossfader (20) allows crossfading between two
of the stereo channels 1 to 4.
1) Select the two channels with the assignment
switches: Use the switch C.F. ASSIGN A (19) to
select the channel to be switched to the left side
of the crossfader, use the switch C.F. ASSIGN B
(21) to select the channel for the right side.
2) Now crossfading between the two channels se-
lected is possible:
