MS1 MediaServer / MediaPlayer
sET UP INFORMATION
The Set Up menu provides access to a number of functions
not directly related to playing movies and music. From
the Home Page, press the
‚
Set Up icon. You will be
prompted for a PIN which is 1234 by default. See page 40
for information on changing the PIN. The Admin UI will
be displayed. Select the Set Up option.
Look Up Media Details
If your internet connection is down when you record a
disc, information like the title, artist and so on, will be
missing. This option allows you to look up missing data.
Online Update
Choose this option to check for a more recent version
of the XiVA software. If one is available, it will be
automatically downloaded and installed.
shutdown / Restart
Shut down or restart the MS1.
RAID Information
Not implemented yet.
THE sETTINGs MENU
The
settings
menu contains important configuration
settings used by your unit. Many of these settings will be
configured when the unit is installed and are unlikely to
require subsequent amendment.
Configuring Settings
The table below contains a brief summary of the
configuration options available in the
settings
menu.
The columns to the right headed
for You
and
for Your
Installer
indicate whether the setting in the left hand
column should ideally be amended by the user or the
installer. Users are advised not to attempt configuration
of any of the settings marked with a
P
in the
user
column without first consulting their dealer or installer.

Display the current Ethernet configuration of your unit.

Display Settings
This option contains settings for ensuring the user interface
displays correctly on your television set or touch panel.

Interface Style
Configure the MediaServer to use either the TV or Admin UI.

User Interface Settings
Change User Interface attributes, eg colour, screensaver. See
Changing the user Interface Colour
on page 13.

System Information
Contains important information about the system.

Reset System
Reset the unit to factory default settings or choose to clear
all media from the libraries.

Software Update Settings
The settings used by the unit to perform an online update.
Any alterations to these settings could render your unit
incapable of upgrading to the latest release of software.

CD Record Settings
Change the way in which the unit records CDs. See the
section entitled
recording
on page 14 for more information.

Output Configuration
This option contains the Audio Format setting which allows
you to choose between Surround and Stereo sound output.

Network Playback Configuration
This option allows the display of the network configuration
of any connected MS1 Clients.

Change the PIN
The Admin UI is protected by a PIN. The default PIN is 1234
and can be changed; see page 40.
