Using this Document
Failures of the top cover, the drive tray and the front panel assembly are
determined by visually inspecting these components for cracks or deformations
and for mechanical failures. Use the troubleshooting guide provided in this
chapter to isolate failure to the main board, the LCD module, the power supply,
the case fan, or the hard disks. Once a failure has been isolated, refer to Chapter
4, Disassembly Guide for instructions for removing and replacing a component
of the NAS-4100.
Obtaining Replacement Parts
IEI Customer Services Department provides technical assistance information
and replacement parts. To obtain replacement parts, contact the IEI Customer
Services Department or your sales representative. Please refer to parts by the
part names and part numbers listed in Chapter 5, Spare Parts.
Troubleshooting Guide
If you encounter a problem that cannot be resolved through a visual inspection,
check the following lists for probable causes and recommended actions to take
to correct the problem. For a symptom that is not listed here, contact the IEI
Customer Services Department or your sales representative.
Power Supply

The power supply makes an audible alarm and
the red LED on the power supply module is
illuminated.
The error LED on the front panel lights up red and
the LCD module shows below error message:
“POWER FAILED OR REMOVED”
The event logs show below error messages:
“power failed or removed”
Replace the failed power
supply.
