 ICH5 IDE Interface 

The integrated IDE interface on the ICH5 southbridge supports up to four IDE hard disks 

and ATAPI devices, PIO IDE transfers up to 16MB/s and Ultra ATA transfers of 100MB/s. 

The integrated IDE interface is able to support the following IDE HDDs: 

 

Ultra ATA/100

, with data transfer rates up to 100MB/s 

 

Ultra ATA/66

, with data transfer rates up to 66MB/s 

 

Ultra ATA/33

, with data transfer rates up to 33MB/s
