Connecting
8.1 Power Supply
Terminals 3 and 5 on S2 connector must be connected directly to the negative of the battery with a wire of minimum
1,5mm²
(16 AWG) dimension.
The positive power supply is connected to the 2, 11 and 14 on S2 connector through a fuse that will support the total
+
current used by the equipment connected to the PPS-TWIN : maximum 40A. Remember that this fuse is required and
must be placed as close to the battery as possible. The wires connected to the + terminals must have the correct size.
In most installations, the total current absorbed is very high. For this reason, refer to the table on page 3 to dimension
the gauge of the wires according to the currents and lengths.
Terminals for the TE
connector are designed for
wires size range 1,5-2,5mm²
(16-14 AWG).
Terminals for the Wurth
connector are designed for
wires size range 1,5mm²
(16 AWG).
PPS-TWIN wakes up by positive input 1 on S1 connector by default (Fig. 2). In this case the « ignition » dispwitch 2
must be placed on OFF position (Fig.1).
You can choose to use the input 1 for other feature and force the ignition of the PPS-TWIN by the dipswitch 2 on ON
position (Fig.3).
