2) Using a small Philips head screwdriver, remove the screw from the lower
corner of the FPV monitor, then install the mounting arm bracket onto the
FPV monitor, using the screw you removed.
Do not overtighten the screw or you’ll strip the plastic. We recommend
applying some epoxy or CA to the bracket to hold it more securely
in place.
3) Using a 1.5mm hex wrench, install the mounting arm onto the transmitter
handle, then mount the monitor to the mounting arm, using the knurled
nut to secure it in place.
4) Adjust the mounting arm and the monitor angles to suit, then firmly tighten
the two mounting arm screws and the knurled nut to lock the FPV monitor securely in position.

1) Power ON the transmitter and quadcopter, and wait to allow the gyros and flight controller to initialize. Wait another
30 to 45 seconds to allow the camera gimbal to finish initializing.
2) Turn your camera ON, then turn the FPV monitor ON.
3) If no picture (snow) is displayed on the FPV monitor, press and HOLD the
Channel Select/Scan button for 3 seconds, then release it. The FPV monitor
will automatically scan the available channels and lock on the strongest
one. A picture should then be displayed on the FPV monitor.
If you’re using the Idea-Fly WiFi Sports Cam 1080P, you will need to
enable the Analog Video Output by pressing and HOLDING the UP
Arrow button on the right side of the camera for 2 seconds, using a narrow tool, like a hex wrench (see inset photo).
A short audible tone will sound an the display on the back of the camera will go black, indicating the Analog Video
Output is active. If there is still no picture displayed on the FPV monitor, press and HOLD the Channel Select/Scan
button for 3 seconds, then release it again to initiate another channel scan.
Enabling the Analog Video Output may or may not be required for other brands of cameras. For more
information, please refer to the User’s Guide included with your camera.
If you’re flying outdoors, we recommend installing the sunshade onto the FPV monitor to help prevent glare
from interfering with clear viewing of the LCD screen.

A micro USB FPV video cable is required to send video from your camera’s
Video Output to the FPV system in the quadcopter. This video cable is
available separately (P/N 163452) if your action camera does not include a
compatible video cable or included with the Idea-Fly WiFi Sports Cam 1080P.
1) Plug the micro USB connector on the video cable into the matching Video
Out port on your camera, then plug the other end of the video cable into
the FPV Video Connector port on the bottom of the quadcopter, making
sure to observe correct polarity.
Before continuing, make sure that you’ve installed the brushless camera gimbal, along with your camera, following
the steps in the Installing the Camera Gimbal section on page 27.
