VFO description
VFO is an abbreviation of Variable Frequency Oscilla-
tor, and traditionally refers to an oscillator.
The IC-7200 VFO can store a frequency and an oper-
ating mode.
You can call up a desired frequency to the VFO with
the keypad or the memory copy function (p. 63). You
can also change the frequency with
[DIAL]
and select
an operating mode with
MODE
or call up previously
accessed frequency and modes with the band stacking
register (p. 24).
The IC-7200 has two VFOs, specially suited for split
frequency operation. The VFOs are called VFO A and
VFO B. You can use the desired VFO to call up a fre-
quency and operating mode for operation.

CONVENIENT
Use two VFOs as a quick memory
When you find a new station, but you wish to con-
tinue searching, the two VFO systems can be used
for quick memory storage.
