GLOBAL PREFERENCES ARE USEFUL IN CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENTS

USERS CAN DEFINE EXCEPTIONS EITHER BEFORE IMAGES ARE CAPTURED
BY VISITING THE TOOLS MENU OR AFTER IMAGES ARE CAPTURED BY
VISITING THE EDIT SECTION OF REVIEW AREA.
8-19-3 Global Thermography Preference Settings
The device has predefined set of global thermography parameters for image
polarity (color palette), emissivity, reflected ambient temperature, humidity,
atmospheric temperature, and optical transmission. These global settings are
useful for inspections in controlled environments where atmospheric variable
remain stable.
Users cannot change the global thermography parameters; however, they can
change the thermography parameters for individual images during or after
capture (see
Section
8-15-4 Thermography Settings
).
8-19-3-1 Create New Preference Settings
Users can create new global thermography settings as follows:
1.
Press the Menu button to open the main menu.
2. Press down on the Thumbstick until the Preference Settings (abbreviated
Pref Setting) tab opens.
3. Using the touchscreen, tap New Preference sub-tab.
4. Tap the input box next to Name. Keyboard appears.
5. Use the keyboard by tapping the touchscreen to input preferred text.
6. Tap Done. Keyboard closes and name is saved automatically.
7. Define remaining parameters as follows:
•
Tap on a parameter. A rotary menu appears.
•
Press up or down on the Thumbstick to define the parameter.
•
Press the Back button to save and exit the rotary menu.
8. Repeat Step 6 for each parameter.
9. Tap Done after defining the global preferences. Sub-tab will close. Settings
are saved automatically under a new heading titled My Preferences. Tap
Cancel to cancel preferences creation.
10. Tap the preferred preferences to enable the settings. Settings are enabled
when the check mark turns blue. To reset the device to the original global
preferences, toggle the Default Preferences (abbreviated Default Pref)
setting to the On position by tapping the switch or perform a factory reset.
11. Press the Back button to save and exit the main menu.
