Replacing a power supply or filler panel
Attention: Do not force the installation of the power supply or filler panel. If the
part does not install easily, ensure that it is properly oriented.
Perform the following steps to replace a power supply:
1. Orient the power supply so that the handle is toward the front of the chassis
and the LEDs are on the left.
2. Unlock the handle and insert the power supply all the way into the slot.
3. Push the handle up until it clicks.
4. Verify that the power supply is seated by pulling gently on the handle.
Perform the following steps to replace a filler panel:
1. Orient the filler panel so that the handle is vertical and side tabs are on the
right.
2. Push the filler panel into the slot.
Perform these additional steps if you are installing a new power supply:
1. Verify that the top LED on the power supply displays a steady green light.
2. If a green light does not display, ensure that both power cables are plugged in
and that both ac switches are flipped to “|” (the ac switch lights up green).
Removing and replacing a blower assembly
Use this procedure to remove and replace the blower assembly. The switch requires
that a minimum of two of the three blower assemblies are operating. It can continue
to operate during the replacement only if the other two blower assemblies continue
to operate. If more than one blower must be turned off at the same time, you
should turn off the switch to prevent overheating.
