Learn how to replace the cold plates in the water-cooled IBM Power System S822LC (8335-GTB) system.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have enough TIMs for the GPUs and processors. Check the FRU kit. The GPU TIM part
number is: 00E5133. The processor TIM part number is 45D7426.

Procedure

1.

Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap attached. If not, attach it now.

2.

Ensure that each GPU clip is open as shown in Figure 32 on page 25.
