Starting the Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet Boot Agent
The Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet Boot Agent program is a built-in
configuration utility program that you can use to configure the computer to start
from the network. You enable the Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet Boot Agent
program and establish your network as a startup device using the
Configuration/Setup Utility program.
Complete the following steps to enable Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet Boot
Agent:
1. Turn on the computer and watch the monitor screen.
2. When the message Press F1 for Configuration/Setup, Press F12 for Boot
Menu appears, press the F1 key.
3. From the Configuration/Setup Utility main menu, select Devices and I/O Ports
and press Enter.
4. Select System Board Ethernet PXE/DHCP and use the Right Arrow ( → ) key to
set it to Enabled .
5. Select Save Settings and press Enter.

Starting the SCSISelect utility program (some models)
SCSISelect is a menu-driven configuration utility program that you can use to:
v View the default SCSI IDs
v Locate and correct configuration conflicts
Complete the following steps to start the SCSISelect Utility program:
1. Turn on the computer and watch the monitor screen.
2. When the

prompt appears,
press Ctrl+A.
3. When the prompt Would you like to configure the host adapter or run the
SCSI disk utility? appears, make your selection and press Enter.
4. Use the arrow keys to select a choice from the menu.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to change the settings of the selected
items; then, press Enter.
Starting the Boot Menu program
Complete the following steps to start the Boot Menu program:
1. Turn on the computer and watch the monitor screen.
2. When the message
Press F1 for Configuration/Setup, Press F12 for Boot
Menu
appears, press the F12 key.
3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
