Using your labels, replace any cables and plugs that you removed from the adapters.

Plug the GPU power cable into the system backplane as shown in Figure 27. Ensure that the cable
latch clip snaps into place on the connector.

What to do next

Prepare the system for operation. For instructions, see “Preparing the 9006-12C system for operation after
you remove and replace internal parts” on page 80.

Removing and replacing memory in the 9006-12C

Learn how to remove and replace memory in the IBM Power System LC921 (9006-12C) system.

Before you begin

Power off the system and place it in the service position. For instructions, see “Preparing the 9006-12C
system to remove and replace internal parts” on page 78.

Procedure

Attach the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap. The ESD wrist strap must be connected to an
unpainted metal surface until the service procedure is completed, and if applicable, until the service
access cover is replaced.
