Place the PCIe adapter riser and cards on an ESD surface.

Unplug the GPU (A) from the PCIe adapter riser (B) as shown in Figure 24.

Replacing the graphics processing unit in the 9006-12C system

Learn how to replace a graphics processing unit in the IBM Power System LC921 (9006-12C) system.

Procedure

Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
