1.  Attention:  Do not attach the 7131 Storage Tower to a host system that is powered on and functioning.  This could cause damage to 

 

    the 7131 Storage Tower, your system, or both.

  

2.  Perform a controlled shutdown of the system, according to instructions from your system publications.

  

3.  Perform a system power off.
