5.4 CHECKING THE SAFETY RELIEF VALVE
WARNING!
The safety relief valve is designed to prevent system failures due
to overpressure and is pre-set by the manufacturer. NEVER modify
the safety relief valve. Replace the valve immediately if it leaks air
continuously.
1.
Turn power switch to OFF and unplug the power cord from receptacle.
2.
Open drain valve to release all pressure.
3.
Grasp the wire ring on the safety relief valve. Pull and release the ring a few
times to ensure that the plunger moves in and out. Replace the safety relief
valve if plunger is difficult to move or does not move at all.
