7. TROUBLESHOOTING
Common issues can be fixed by following these steps. If the unit will not function
after following these steps, contact customer support before attempting to use or
further repair the product.
Problem
Solution
Air leaks from check
valve.
Drain the air tank, then remove and clean the check valve.
Reinstall check valve. If problem persists, replace check
valve.
Air leaks between
pump head and
cylinder.
Be sure of proper torque (7-10 N·m) on head bolts. If
problem persists, contact customer support.
Air leaks from safety
relief valve.
Operate the safety valve manually by pulling on the ring.
If the valve continues to leak when in the closed position,
replace the safety relief valve.
Air leaks from air
tank body.
Never drill, weld, or make any modifications of any kind to
the tank or its attachments. Stop using the air compressor
and contact customer support.
Pressure reading on
the outlet pressure
gauge drops when a
tool is used.
It is normal for the gauge to show a minimal pressure
loss during initial use of a tool. First try to adjust the
outlet pressure while the tool is being used, if there is an
excessive amount of pressure drop while the tool is used,
replace the pressure regulator.
Excessive tank
pressure.
Turn power switch to OFF. If the unit does not shut off,
unplug the power cord from receptacle and contact
customer support.
Motor will not start.
Make sure the power cord is plugged in and power switch
is set to ON. Inspect for the proper size circuit breaker in
your electrical panel. If the breaker was tripped, reset, and
restart the unit. If repeated tripping occurs, replace the
check valve, or contact customer support.
Excessive moisture in
the discharge air.
Water condensation occurs normally when compressing
air. Remove water condensation in the tank by draining
after each use. High humidity environments will cause
excessive condensation. Add water filters on your air line
for extra protection from water corrosion.
