5.4. POWER SUPPLY TO TRANSDUCER ELECTRICAL
CONNECTION
IMPORTANT!
To avoid non-warranty damage to connector pins,
the Power Supply’s O

Switch MUST be put into the ‘OFF’ position
any time Transducer Power Cable is
being connected or disconnected. Do NOT TURN Power switch
‘ON’ until instructed
to do so.

5.4.1.
Review the figures depicting the SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS.
(Figure 5-
5 for AC Supply, Figures 5-6 & 5-7 for Solar/DC Supply.)
5.4.2.
Open
the dust cap on the “Sonic Head 1” connector and v
erify
the
connector is filled with No-Ox grease. If no grease is present in the
connector, place a pea-sized spot of No-Ox grease (included with
Transducer kit) on the T
ransducer Power Cable’s small 4
-pin connector.
Line up the tab and notch in
“Sonic Head 1”
port on Power Supply push
connector in and turn connector tabs Clockwise until the plug latches.
5.4.3.
If
your system is a Dual QUATTRO-DB
®
version, a second Transducer is
included with your system.
Repeat the previous step with the
second
Transducer by connecting its 4-Pin plug to the
Battery Charger
Controller
Connector Port labeled
“Sonic Head 2”
.
5.4.4.
Ensure all connections are securely hand-tightened before continuing
.
5.4.5.
Place the Transducer/Float Assembly(s) in the predetermined location
of the body of water being treated. Attach the anchor to the D-Shackle
on the bottom of the transducer. Adjust the anchor rope or chain so the
anchor is laying on the bottom and there is some slack in the line to
allow for wave action.
5.4.6.
With all connections now complete, move the
Battery Disconnect
switch to the ‘ON’ position and turn the
System Switch
on the Junction
Box to the
‘
ON
’
position. The
Battery Charger Controller’s
LED’s will
now become active. Refer to Section 6.7 detailing the
Battery Charger
Controller’s
operation for a description of LED status and error display.
5.4.7.
The Blue LED above “
Sonic Head 1
” on the Battery Charger Controller
will blink at a rate of approximately once per second to indicate that the
Transducer is operational.
