Press and hold the kill switch Q9 while the engine is idling until

the engine stops.

Remove the air filter box cover. (

Measure the current between 12 V battery ground (-) and the

negative cable.

The value of the open-circuit current applies only to
vehicles in the original condition, i.e., without addi
tional power consumers.

Condition

The 12 V battery is disconnected.

Remove the capacitor.

Discharge the capacitor by bridging the two contacts.

Connect the capacitor to a 12 V test lamp to a connection

and connect to the 12 V battery as shown in the figure.

As the capacitor charge increases, the test lamp
becomes dimmer.

The bulb lights up for: 0.5 ... 2.0 s
The capacitor is OK.

The bulb lights up for: < 0.5 s

Change the capacitor.

The bulb lights up for: > 2.0 s

Change the capacitor.
