Carefully slide the piston into the cylinder from the top.

The piston rings should not catch or they will be dam

aged.

Ensure that piston marking

faces the exhaust side.

- Thinly apply sealing compound to area G).

Position the cylinder base gasket.

Ensure that the dowel pins are seated properly.

Cover the engine case opening with a cloth. Feed the timing
chain through the chain shaft. Mount the piston pin.
