Manual CST tests
This green lead goes via Cable 1 to CCU and
to connector D:4. If there is no change when
activating the microswitch for forward, first check
that there is +5 V on the orange lead that is
connected to the microswitch. If this is OK, take a
reading on the white lead at the microswitch at the
same time as activating the microswitch and then
+5 V should be obtained on the white lead when
the switch is activated. If this is OK, check that
there is +5 V on the green lead after the four-pole
transition connector. If this is OK, there must be a
break on the green lead or a fault in connector D
that is connected to CCU.

D11: +5V out
Measure in connector D on CCU by inserting a
thin wire through the rubber on the back of the
connector so it make contact with the receptacle
inside the connector. Then take a reading from the
wire to GND with a multimeter set to volt to make
sure there is +5 V up to the connector. If there is
but a change is not seen in the test, connector D
must be checked and if OK, try changing CCU. If
there is +5 V on the pin for the orange microswitch
and there is no signal on the white lead, the
microswitch for reverse must be changed.
13.9 P-brake Pedal Switch
Conducting this test shows whether the
microswitch for the P-brake is in working order.
"Not engaged" is displayed on the row for P-brake
pedal switch before the microswitch for the
P-brake is activated and when it is activated,
Engaged should be displayed. The microswitch for
P-brake is supplied with +5 V via an orange lead
and when the switch is Not engaged, this +5 V is
coupled to a brown lead that runs a short way to a
four-pole transition connector.

This brown lead goes via Cable 1 to CCU and
to contact D:1 after the transition connector.
When P-brake is activated, +5 V is disconnected
from CCU, so no signal is sent to CCU when the
P-brake pedal is depressed. Not engaged sends
+5 V signal to CCU. If there is no change when
deactivating the microswitch for P-brake, first
check that there is +5 V on the orange lead that
is connected to the microswitch. If this is OK, take
a reading on the brown lead at the microswitch
at the same time as deactivating the microswitch
(the switch is activated when the P-brake is not
activated) and then +5 V should be obtained on
the white lead when the switch is deactivated. If
this is OK, check that there is +5 V on the brown
lead after the four-pole transition connector.
If this is OK, there is a break on the brown lead or
a fault in connector D:1 that is connected to CCU.

Measure in connector D:1 with the connector
coupled to CCU by inserting a thin wire through
the rubber on the back of the connector so it make
contact with the receptacle inside the connector.
Then take a reading from the wire to GND with a
multimeter set to volt to make sure there is +5 V
up to the connector. If this is the case and there
is still no change seen in CST, connector D can
be checked. If OK then try changing CCU. If there
is +5 V on the pin for the orange microswitch
and there is no signal on the brown lead, the
microswitch for the P-brake must be changed. This
P-brake switch is connected so that it sends +5 V
to CCU when not activated and zero volt when it is
activated.
