Troubleshooting autotest for fault on +5 V sup-
ply
The +5 V supply has an automatic fuse that trig-
gers if the output current from CCU exceeds 1 A.
When this overcurrent consumption ceases, the
fuse will reset automatically and +5 V will return. In
case of a fault indication in the test software, there
will be no +5 V supply to the machine from CCU.
Troubl5 V as follows:
1
Start by separating the transition between Cable 1
and Cable 2, pull apart the flat pin/receptacle in the
transition between the cable on the machine's rear
carriage. Check now whether the +5 V supply from
CCU has returned in the CST software manual test
(indicates green) or in a multimeter. If the supply
returns, the fault is in Cable 2 but if it does not re-
turn, the fault is in Cable 2. If the fault persists, go
to item 2, otherwise continue from item 6.
2
The fault is in Cable 1 as the supply did not re-
turn when +5 V was disconnected from Cable 2.
In Cable 1, +5 V goes from CCU down to the
switches on the pedal plate via a small four-pole
connector transition at the pedal plate, this connec-
tor transition contains orange, brown, white, and
green leads. Unplug this connector transition and
make sure the fault disappeared (+5 V returned). If
the fault disappeared, it is something on the pedal
plate or in the leads going from the microswitches
on the pedal plate that is causing the fault. If the
fault did not disappear, the fault is still in Cable 1
between this connector and CCU.
