Manual CST tests
13.7 Forward Pedal Switch
Conducting this test shows whether the
microswitch for forward is in working order.
"Inactive" is displayed on the row for forward
pedal switch before the microswitch for forward is
activated and when it is activated, Active should
be displayed (active = +5 V signal to CCU). The
microswitch for forward is supplied with +5 V via an
orange lead and when the switch is activated, this
+5 V is coupled to a green lead that runs a short
way to a four-pole transition connector and in this
transition, the lead changes color to white.

This white lead goes via Cable 1 to CCU and to
contact D:3. If there is no change when activating
the microswitch for forward, first check that there
is +5 V on the orange lead that is connected to
the microswitch. If this is OK, take a reading the
green lead at the microswitch at the same time as
activating the microswitch and then +5 V should
be obtained on the green lead when the switch is
activated. If this is OK, check that there is +5 V
on the white lead after the four-pole transition
connector. If this is OK, there may be a break on
the white lead or a fault in connector D that is
connected to CCU.

D4: Reverse
D11: +5V out
Try measuring in connector D on CCU by inserting
a thin wire through the rubber on the back of the
connector so it make contact with the receptacle
inside the connector. Then take a reading from
the wire to GND with a multimeter set to volt to
make sure there is +5 V up to the connector when
the forward pedal is activated. If there is but no
change is seen in CST, connector D must be
checked. If it looks OK and there is still no signal in
CST, try changing CCU. If there is +5 V on the pin
for the orange microswitch and there is no signal
on the green lead, the microswitch for forward
must be changed.
13.8 Forward Pedal Switch
Conducting this test shows whether the
microswitch for reverse is in working order.
"Inactive" is displayed on the row for reverse
pedal switch before the microswitch for reverse is
activated and when it is activated, Active should
be displayed (active = +5 V signal to CCU). The
microswitch for reverse is supplied with +5 V via
an orange lead and when the switch is activated,
this +5 V is coupled to a white lead that runs a
short way to a four-pole transition connector and in
this transition, the lead changes color to green.
