–
If you need to bend a cable at the output terminal of a connector, the
minimum bending radius is five times the cable diameter, and the cable
must be bound before it is bent.
–
Do not use cable ties anywhere the cables are bent. If cable ties are used
in these locations, the cables may break.
Common Methods
The methods of laying out cables inside a cabinet are described as follows:
●
Route power cables at the rear of the cabinet along the right side. Choose
overhead or underfloor cabling based on specific conditions in the equipment
room, such as conditions of the direct current (DC) power distribution cabinet,
lightning arrester, and terminal block.
●
Route service data cables at the rear of the cabinet and bind them to the
right cable trough. Alternatively, route them at the front of the cabinet and
bind them to the cable troughs on both sides of the cabinet. Choose overhead
or underfloor cabling for service data cables based on equipment room
conditions, such as the cabling mode (overhead or underfloor cabling) used
by signal cables.
●
Place the connectors of all service data cables at the bottom of the cabinet in
order so that the connectors are difficult to reach.
●
Ensure that multi-port cables are not bound in crossover mode. This helps
identify, insert, or remove a server node.
