Installing an Indoor PI
Optional: Installing a PI in an Outdoor Cabinet
When you install a PI in
an outdoor cabinet,
ensure that the ground
point of the auxiliary
mounting bracket is
located on the lower side.

Install a PI in an outdoor cabinet.

Install the PGND cable.

Install the NM cable of the PI.
Install the GE cable used for providing power of Ethernet.
Connect the RJ45
connector to the GE
port of the PI.

Black: 0 V power cable (connected
to the positive terminal of the power
supply device)
Blue: -48 V power cable
(connected to the negative
terminal of the power supply
device)
Install a GE cable on the PI.
Install the power cable of the PI.

Laying Out Indoor PI Cables
NOTE
If two or three PIs are installed on the same auxiliary
mounting bracket, cables of the PIs must be laid out to
meet the requirements of the site. Generally, power cables
are routed along the left side of the cabinet and service
cables are routed along the right side of the cabinet.
NOTE
The NMS port and MGMT port on the PI are reserved and
are not used in the installation.
