5.4.1.3 (Optional) Replacing an Electric Heater
Prerequisites
An electric heater needs to be replaced.
A spare electric heater of the same model is available and functional.
Context
Tools: Phillips screwdriver, diagonal pliers, and cable tie.
Procedure
Step 1
Hold down
on the home screen. Tap

on the shutdown confirmation screen
displayed.
Step 2
Open the front door, and turn off the indoor unit circuit breaker and circuit breaker in the
power distribution cabinet.
Step 3
Use diagonal pliers to cut off the cable tie that secures the temperature sensor to separate the
temperature sensor from the mesh cover of the electric heater.
Step 4
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws that secure the mesh cover of the electric
heater, as shown by (1) in
Figure 5-3

Step 5
Use diagonal pliers to cut off the cable tie that secures the electric heater cables, and remove
the signal cable terminal on the left of the electric heater.
Step 6
Remove the power cable terminal on the right of the electric heater from the electric heater
contactor, and pull out the cable from the top.
