8.2 Single Fire Alarm
Prerequisites
A single fire alarm is generated in the data center.
The emergency operations described in this section are for reference only.
If a fire alarm is generated, determine whether to extinguish the fire or leave the area
immediately based on actual situation and contact the personnel on duty or local fire station.
Procedure
Step 1
Locate the fire alarm area based on the alarm information.
Step 2
Go to the area with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and communications
devices.
Do not enter the fire alarm area without determining the severity and impact of the fire.
Step 3
Observe the gas release indicator to check whether gas is released to extinguish the fire.
If gas is released, contact Huawei technical support.
If gas is not released, go to the next step.
Step 4
Check whether there are alarms on the gas fire extinguishing controllers outside the container.
If the gas fire extinguishing controllers reports a single fire alarm but the VESDA does
not generate any alarm, go to
If the gas fire extinguishing controllers reports a single fire alarm (smoke alarm) and the
VESDA reports an alarm, go to
If the gas fire extinguishing controllers reports a single fire alarm (temperature alarm)
and the VESDA reports an alarm, go to
If the gas fire extinguishing controllers reports a composite fire alarm, go to
Step 5
Open the door of the container and check whether a fire has broken out.
