Procedure

Install the software.
a.
Log in to the OS as the root user.
b.
Access the software package directory, such as the
/root
directory.

Install the Linux driver and tool package. For details, see

If the
snmpd.conf
file is in
/usr/local/share/snmp/snmpd.conf
, run the following
command to open the file:
vim /usr/local/share/snmp/snmpd.conf

Add content as follows:

If the Net-SNMP versionis 5.6, add the following content to the
snmpd.conf
file:
dlmod es3000v3 /usr/lib/es3000v3_snmp_5.6.so
n
If the Net-SNMP versionis 5.7, add the following content to the
snmpd.conf
file:
dlmod es3000v3 /usr/lib/es3000v3_snmp_5.7.so
f.
Press
Esc
to exit the edit mode. Enter
:wq
and press
Enter
. Save and exit the
snmpd.conf
file.
g.
If SNMP v3 is enabled, stop SNMP services before running the following
command:
net-snmp-config --create-snmpv3-user -ro -a (Huawei123#$) -A MD5 (v3user)
Huawei123#$
is the password.
v3user
is an SNMP user name. You can change the
user name and password.
h.
Run the following command to start SNMP services:
service snmpd start
i.
If SNMP services are already running, run the following command to restart SNMP
services:
service snmpd restart
l
Uninstall the software.
a.
Log in to the OS as the root user.
b.
Uninstall the Linux tool package. For details, see
.
c.
Open the
snmpd.conf
file described in the installation procedure and delete the
following content (assuming that the Net-SNMP version is 5.7):
dlmod es3000v3 /usr/lib/es3000v3_snmp_5.7.so

obtain the software.
Using the Net-SNMP Command Set
You need to install net-snmp-utils before using the Net-SNMP command set to query ES3000
V3 SNMP information. You can use the Linux Net-SNMP tool package.
