Removing the Memory Mezzanine Board
This procedure describes how to remove the memory mezzanine board from under the left access
panel on the server blade.
1.
Power down the server blade and remove it from the enclosure.

2.
Remove the left access panel.

3.
Remove the processor air baffle by pulling it straight up and out of the server blade.
4.
Unplug the power connector to processor 3 and move the wires out of the loop on the memory
mezzanine board (if necessary).
5.
Loosen the five captive thumbscrews on the memory mezzanine board.

6.
Pull up on the memory mezzanine board handle and rotate it 90 degrees to disengage the
connectors.
7.
Lift the memory mezzanine board straight up and out of the server blade.

Replacing the Memory Mezzanine Board
This procedure shows how to install the memory mezzanine board into the server blade.
1.
Ensure that the memory mezzanine board handle is in the open position (rotated so you can't
see the printing on the handle). To see the handle in the open position, see
Figure 49 (page 124)
.
2.
Line up the posts on the system board with the holes on the memory mezzanine board and
slide the board down onto the server blade chassis.
