The files do not appear
in the destination folder.

The log shows Access
Denied to the
destination folder.

Various causes.

Make sure that the following
conditions exist:

●

The service account that is used
to start the HP DSS Workflow
server has security rights that are
sufficient to create folders and
files on the destination folders.

●

The Folder Store has Check
Security turned on and the
matching User Name does not
have rights to the folder.

●

Make sure that sufficient access
rights exist for the
HP DSS Workflow server
account.

Check the User Name that is
provided on Check Security to make
sure that the full name, including the
domain and user name, is correct.

The HP DSS Workflow
service starts and
immediately stops.

Various causes.

●

Verify that the IP Port 25 is not
locked for both inbound and
outbound. Go to the Command
prompt and open telnet
127.0.0.1 25. If the session opens
with any SMTP server name, then
that port is being used.

●

Stop the e-mail server on the
HP DSS Workflow server that has
the IP Port 25 locked.

The HP DSS Workflow
server does not start.

The HP DSS Workflow
server log shows the
following message:
‘Can't create directory.’

The folder paths that appear
on the Preferences tab must
all exist. The HP DSS
Workflow server attempts to
create these folders, but if the
server is not successful or if
the folder is deleted before
the HP DSS Workflow server
starts, then the server will not
start correctly.

Make sure that the folders on the
Preferences tab exist and the
HP DSS Workflow user ID has full
access to them.
