Removing and Replacing Components

Removing and Replacing PCI/PCI-X Cards

222

Step 4.

Ensure that the MRL and the card latch on the OLX divider are already open and insert the
PCI/PCI-X card to be added into the empty slot.

CAUTION

When inserting the PCI/PCI-X card, be careful you do not accidentally touch an
attention button on the other OLX dividers—this will initiate an undesired
shutdown of another PCI/PCI-X card/slot. If you do this, push the doorbell again
within five seconds to cancel the shutdown.
