Performing the All System Test

To perform the All System Test, proceed as follows:

1. Install a formatted disk into each disk drive (be sure to verify that the disks are not write protected).

Install the RS-232C loopback connector on the microprocessor RS-232C port. Remove any
connections to the input BNC.

2. Access the Mainframe Test menu, as described in "Accessing the Mainframe Test System," in this

section.

3. Touch the All System Tests field. The instrument performs all the tests that are listed on the

screen except the Color Display Test and the Expander Test. See figure 6-8.

When the tests are completed, the status advisory for each test changes from UNTESTED to either
PASSED or FAILED. The All System Tests advisory changes from UNTESTED to TESTED. Note that
the Color Display Test and the Expander Test remain UNTESTED.

If any test fails, refer to section 6-7, "Troubleshooting."
