DECOMMISSIONING / MAINTENANCE
6.
Decommissioning
The following steps are to be taken if the compact
heat ing controller is to be placed out of operation for
several weeks:
Clean the boiler heating surfaces and have your boiler
servicing agent apply a conservation agent. Your chim-
ney-sweep technician will eagerly consult you.
Where there is a frost hazard, drain your system in ac
-
cordance with the instructions of your heating installer
or add frost according to the instructions of the heating
installer.
7.
Maintenance
!
CAUTION
Missing or faulty cleaning and maintenance
may cause damage to the installation.
• The heating installation must be surveyed
and cleaned once a year.
•
If required, installation maintenance must
be carried out. Defects must be remedied
immediately in order to prevent damages
to the installation!
!
CAUTION
After repair work respectively ex chang ing boil-
er parts, a flue gas meas urement according to
chapter 5.4.5 must be carried out im per atively.
7.1
Checking the water connections for leakage
Tighten screw connections on the water side while the
boiler is still at operating temperature.
7.2
Refilling
Water must be refilled, if the water pressure falls below
the set flow pressure.
Then allow the heating water to cool, bleed the filling
hose and refill via the filling and draining cock.
7.3
Maintenance includes
-
Cleaning the flue gas heat exchanger
and condensate collector
- Checking the burner
-
Checking the ignition electrode, distance from burner
ap prox. 4-5 mm, set position correctly where necessary
or replace
- Flue gas measuring according to chapter 5.4.5
7.4
Cleaning the heat exchanger
- Disconnect the boiler from the electrical supply
(pull out the plug)
- Close the gas appliance cock
-
Remove the front boiler panel (open the control flap lid,
push the front cover upwards and pull out)
- Unscrew the threaded of the supply pipeline to the gas
solenoid valve (Fig. 15, see next page)
- Detach the screw mounted burner plate (Fig. 15)
- Disconnect the electrical connections to the gas sole-
noid valve
- Pull off the fan connector plug
- Remove the burner plate and bat-wing burners
(Fig. 17, see next page)
- Wet clean the heat exchanger (do not use steel wire
brushes) (Fig. 17, see next page)
-
Clean siphon (Fig. 13 and Fig. 14, below)
-
Loosen siphon at coupling and remove from boiler
- Rinse siphon.
- Check if siphon sealing gasket Fig. 14 (1) is not dam-
aged, replace if necessary
- Flue gas measuring according to chapter 5.4.5
!
CAUTION
If siphon is not filled with water or if it is con
-
taminated or obstructed by contamination,
leaking flue gas may put people in danger of
life.
•
Before reinserting the siphon, it must be
filled with water.
Siphon is fixed underneath the boiler!
