Manual coulter pressure adjustment
The coulter pressure can be increased by back-
ing out the screw adjustment.
¾
Pay attention to the engraved adjusting scale.
¾
Set all screw adjustment uniformly.

scale
Hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment
(option)
The hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment al-
lows adapting or increasing the coulter pressure
during changing soil conditions during field work.
Hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment
¾
To perform the basic setting retract the hy-
draulic cylinders and adjust the coulter pres-
sure with the screw adjustment.
¾
Increase or reduce the coulter pressure
through the hydraulic cylinders according to
the soil conditions.
NOTE
The placing quantity of the seed is increased
automatically with the hydraulic increase of the
coulter pressure.
The placing quantity is reset to the basic setting
or the starting value when the control unit is
switched to floating position.
¾
See operating instructions for the
E-Manager.
Interrelationship of coulter pressure and
drilling depth
Changes of the drilling depth mainly effect the
drilling depth, but also the coulter pressure and
the press rollers.
Changes to the coulter pressure adjustment
mainly effect coulters and press rollers, but also
have an influence on the drilling depth.
¾
Check the coulter pressure after changing the
drilling depth.
¾
Check the drilling depth after changing the
coulter pressure.
If the pressure adjustment is not sufficient for the
drilling depth, the seed bar must be lowered by
the rack and the coulter pressure matched again.
Checks
¾
Lower the drill until the packer rests on the
ground.
¾
Drive a few meters with the drill in working
position.
¾
Check seed placement, drilling depth and
consolidation after the press rollers.
¾
If necessary adjust coulter pressure and depth
setting until the correct match is found.
When adjusting the cultivation tools check the
seed placement again
All rods and racks must be uniformly adjusted.
