4.2.2 More troubleshooting

This section describes the countermeasures for the
troubles that are not indicated by ERROR messages.

●

The indicated value fluctuates

When there is a problem with the electrode.

When there is a problem with the instrument.

Cause

Countermeasure

The responsive
membrane is dry or
dirty.

Wash the responsive membrane.

The responsive
membrane is dam-
aged or worn out.

Replace the electrode.

There are air bub-
bles on the elec-
trode.

Shake the electrode to remove the air
bubbles.

There is no stan-
dard solution
remaining.

Fill the electrode with new standard solu-
tion, as noted in the operation manual of
the electrode.

The wrong stan-
dard solution is
being used.

Use the correct standard solution.

Cause

Countermeasure

There is a motor or
other device caus-
ing electrical inter-
ference.

Measure at a place where no influence
from induction is given.
Ground all AC-powered equipment
