ERROR No.0005 Span calibration error (pH)

Definition

The electrode sensitivity is not within the range from
85% to 105% for the theoretical sensitivity.

Cause

Countermeasure

The electrode is
dirty.

Wash the electrode.

The electrode is
cracked.

Replace the electrode.

Calibration was not
performed correctly.

Redo the calibration correctly.

There is a problem
with the standard
solution.

Prepare new standard solutions.

The electrode is not
connected correctly.

Connect the electrode correctly.

Electrode is not sub-
merged deeply
enough to cover ref-
erence junction.

Immerse the electrode in the sample, to at
least 3 cm beyond the electrode tip.
