Wiring External Air Temperature Sensor (Use

with Heat Pump Systems)

Connect the external air temperature sensor to the W8710A

terminals. For instructions on mounting the sensor, see

instructions packaged with the sensor.

NOTE: The W8710A has a factory default outside air tem-

perature setting of 46°F (8°C) that can be used

instead of an external air temperature sensor in mod-

erate climates. But when maximum accuracy is

desired, install the 32005321-001 External Air Tem-

perature Sensor to override the 46°F (8°C) default

setting.
