Custom Calibrating Heat (Press 1 Key)
NOTE: A faster method for calibrating Heat (than using Cus-
tom Calibrating Heat) is using Quick Heat Calibra-
tion; see Calibrating Quick Heat section.
a. Select the type of heating system:
— Press 1 key for gas or fuel oil.
— Press 2 key for electric heat.
— Press 3 key for heat pump.
CUSTOM CALIBRATING GAS OR FUEL OIL SYSTEM (PRESS 1 KEY)
1. Enter the system heat cfm (600, 1000, or 1200) and
press Enter.
2. Press the Yes or No key to confirm.
3. Enter the Heat Btu to the nearest thousand; for exam-
ple, enter 80 rather than 79,500, and press Enter.
4. Press Yes or No key to confirm.
5. Enter the percent efficiency rating for the gas/fuel sys-
tem.
6. Press the Yes or No key to confirm.
7. Turn on System Heat and press any key.
8. Observe custom calibration running for System Delay
Time. When completed, W8710A beeps and the Hand-
held Programmer returns to Status OK.
9. Press D/T key to view new calibrated D/T (CALC D/T).
NOTE: Wait approximately 35 seconds while the computer
calculates the correct calibrated D/T.
CUSTOM CALIBRATING ELECTRIC HEAT (PRESS 2 KEY)
1. Enter the system designated heat cfm (600, 1000,
1200) and press Enter key.
2. Press Yes or No key to confirm.
3. Enter Heat kW to the nearest thousand; for example,
enter 80 rather than 79,500, and press Enter.
4. Press Yes or No key to confirm.
5. Turn on System Heat and press any key.
6. Observe custom calibration running for System Delay
Time. When completed, W8710A beeps and the Hand-
held Programmer returns to Status OK.
7. Press D/T key to view new calibrated D/T (CALC D/T).
NOTE: Wait approximately 35 seconds while the computer
calculates the correct calibrated D/T.
CUSTOM CALIBRATING HEAT PUMPS (PRESS 3 KEY)
IMPORTANT
Do not Custom Calibrate Heat Pump Systems. Call
Honeywell for information before considering custom
calibration.
Custom Calibrating Cool (Press 2 Key)
1. Press Yes or No key for Heat Pump System.
2. Press 1 key if 350 cfm, press 2 key if 400 cfm, press 3
key if 450 cfm.
