Chapter 5 - Servicing
To change the default iDRAC6 IP address using iDRAC6 Configuration Utility
1. Restart the server.
When the server is restarting the following message appears.
Press <Ctrl-E> for Remote Access Setup within 5 sec
2. Press Ctrl+E.
The iDRAC6 Configuration Utility screen appears.
ATTENTION
If your operating system begins to load before you press Ctrl+E, allow the system to
restart, then restart your server and try again.
3. Scroll down to LAN Parameters and then press Enter.
The LAN Parameters dialog box appears.
4. Scroll down to Default Gateway option and change the default IP address
5. After changing the default IP address press Esc twice.
A dialog box appears.
6. Select Save Changes and Exit.

In addition, you must update the following:

Dell OMSA 7.1 with necessary patch (this is provided by the latest init media)
l
Latest iDRAC firmware from the support section of the www.dell.com website.
l
Microsoft patch from the
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970360
link (this is qualified by SUIT
team and part of March 2013 SUIT media).
