The Ethernet module enables the control panel to communicate over Ethernet local and wide
area networks, using UDP and TCP Ethernet protocols. It supports alarm signalling and
remote servicing, including data encryption and path supervision between the module and
alarm receiving applications.
Note:
Use the programming functions in this section if you plan to transmit data with the
GPRS element of the module.
Module Config [56.4.01]
Each Ethernet module is pre-programmed with a unique MAC address that identifies it on
the network. However, to communicate with other applications an IP address must be
assigned to the unit. The information programmed in this section is required for other
applications on the network to recognise the Ethernet module.
1=IP Address
This must be a unique, static IP address. The dot separator is
automatically added after each sequence of three numbers or can be
manually added by pressing
. The address is provided by your IT
administrator. This is not required for GPRS.
2=Site Name
This option is not used.
