4.6 6855 Remote Annunciator Installation
The optional Model 6855 Remote Annunciator, is shown in Figure 4-16. The 6855 can be surface or flush
mounted. Up to 16 annunciators can be added to the 6820 or 6820EVS system in any combination.

6855 installation involves the following steps:
1. Make sure power is off at the panel.
2. Mount the 6855 in the desired location (see Section 4.6.1).
3. Connect the 6855 to the panel (see Section 4.4.2).
4. Use the DIP switches on the back of the 6855 to assign an ID# to the 6855 (see Section 4.13.1).
5. The new 6855 module must be added to the system through programming. JumpStart will add the module
automatically (see Section 8.1). You can also add it manually (see Section 9.2.2). Select a name, if desired
(see Section 9.2.1.1).
4.6.1 Mounting the 6855
This section of the manual describes mounting the remote annunciator. The annunciator can be flush- or surface-
mounted.
