INSPECTION

Check the cylinder head for warpage with a straight

edge and freeler gauge in the directions shown.

SERVICE LIMIT: 0.10 mm (0.004 in)

DE CAR BON IZI NG

Remove the carbon deposits from the combustion

chamber.

Clean the head gasket surface of any gasket mate

rial.

NOTE

Avoid damaging the gasket surfaces.

INSTALLATION

Install the cylinder head using a new cylinder head

gasket.

Install the four flange nuts and tighten to the

specified torque in the sequence shown.

TORQUE: 18-22 N.m (1.8-2.2 kg-m,

13-16 ft-lb)

Fill the cooling system with the recommended

coolant (Page 10-3).
