HYDRAU UC BRAKE

ASSEMBLY

Apply silicone grease to the piston cup and pour a

small amount of brake fluid into the cylinder.

NOTE

"' Replace the master piston and spring as a

set. Do not replace one without replacing

the other.

• Check that the snap ring is seated in the

groove properly.

Install the front stoplight switch.

INSTALLATION

Install the master cylinder on the handlebar

(Page 11-8).

TORQUE: 10-14 N.m (1.0-1.4 kg-m,

· 7-10 ft-lb)

Install the brake hose and seal washer.

TORQUE: 25-35 N.m (2.5-3.5 kg-m,

18-25 ft-lb)

After the front brake has been installed, bleed air

from the brake hydraulic system (Page 12-3).
