STEERING STEM INSTALLATION

(1) STEELBALLS(21)�

(2) BOTTOM CONE RACE�

(3) DUST SEAL�

(4) DUST WASHER�

Drive the top and bootom ball races into the head

pipe with the same tool.

I nstal I the washer and dust seal.

Grease the ball race, steel balls and cone race.

Install the steering stem.

Install the bearing adjustment nut in the frame neck

and tighten it until snug against the top cone race,

then back it out 1 /8 turn.

Check that the stem rotates freely.
