Advanced Settings
On the

ETTINGS

CREEN
(top half
of Figure 19), if you tap the
Ad-
vanced
button, the
A
DVANCED
S
CREEN
(bottom half of Figure 19)
will be displayed. The most often-
used advanced settings each
have a button, which you touch,
and then adjust the value with the
left rotary encoder. The changes
made with the left rotary encoder
take effect immediately and are
saved in non-volatile memory.
The settings available on the
A
D-
VANCED

CREEN
are as follows:

Key
Mode:
Select the operating
mode of the internal keyer:

0-Straight Key
◦
1-Iambic_A
◦
2-Iambic_B
◦
3-Weight Dah
◦
4-Weight Dit/Dah.
The CW weight and speed are set
on the
S
ETTING
S
CREEN
.
•
Mic Bias:
This
is either On (1) or Off
(0). If you are using an electret
microphone you need this bias
voltage for the microphone to
function properly.
•
AGC Thrsh:
Adjusts the AGC Threshold,
i.e.
, the point where AGC starts to
function. Default value is 400 for normal operation. Range is 50 to 1000. It is best
not to adjust this setting. See AGC section for more details.
•
RSL Cal:
Adjust this to calibrate your S Meter. See the Radio Setup section
for more details.
•
Freq Cal
: Use this function to correct your frequency of operation in PPM.
See the Radio Setup section for more details.
