3.4
Timestamps of the receive messages
Every message can have a 64-bit timestamp with a resolution of 100ns. The exact
timestamp of every FlexRay message can be calculated within the UCI and de-
pends on the settings made with the call of
. You can choose one of the
following types:
•
Timestamp disable:
No Timestamp available.
•
Timestamp cycle:
Each message from one cycle has the same time
stamp (timestamp of status message).
•
Timestamp message: The timestamp of each message is calculated individual-
ly, taking the timestamp of the status message.
3.5
Reception of invalid messages
If desired, it is possible to receive invalid frames via the asynchronous receiver.
Therefore the Flag “Invalid Frames Enable” has to be set while calling
of the
FlexRay controller.
3.6
Reception of NULL frames
If desired, it is possible to disable the reception of NULL frames via the asyn-
chronous receiver. Therefore the Flag “NULL Frames Disable” has to be set while
calling
of the FlexRay controller.
3.7
Status information
Every FlexRay status message contains status information of the FlexRay control-
ler. You have access to following information:
•
Controller clock correction
•
Controller status (startup, normal, passive)
•
Error flags
•
Slot status counter (often used to count NULL frames)
